Hollistonian Is Finalist for Music Lights the Way Piano Festival

The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), one of the world’s most established music education institutions, is thrilled to announce a finalist from Holliston, Massachusetts, chosen out of over 8,000 participants across Canada and the U.S, for its prestigious Music Lights the Way Piano Festival with over $150,000 in prizing to be won, provided by Yamaha.

Two talented youth piano players from across Massachusetts have been selected as finalists for this piano festival, with one invited to perform their pieces live at RCM’s renowned Koerner Hall in Toronto, on March 21 and 22, 2023. Alexander Mikhailov, age 12, is a level 6 finalist that will be performing live in Toronto and competing to win the first-place prize, a Yamaha b1 Acoustic upright piano, valued at over $6,500. 

The other Massachusetts finalist comes from the following location:

  • Holliston: Nathan Zhang, age 9, Level 3 (Click Nathan’s name for a performance!)
