Jacqueline “Jackie” (Weber) Schortmann

Jacqueline “Jackie” (Weber) Schortmann, 93, died on September 26, 2023, at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston and is survived by her husband Harry and her three children Mark (his wife Kim), David, and Liesel (Lee).

She was born on August 21, 1930, and was married on her 25th birthday after seven years of courtship. They recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary for a total of 75 years together. After marriage, the couple moved to Pasadena, California where Harry attended seminary and Jacqueline earned the degree of PHt, Putting Hubby Through, from the seminary.

In 1963, they moved to Holliston and she became the secretary at the First Baptist Church, then worked at WA Wilde Company and later owned and operated the Pulpit Workshop which provided sermon outlines augmented by counseling and illustrative aids written by about 25 ordained ministers from different denominations, mostly for ministers in rural settings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 10 am-12 noon at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will follow at Lake Grove Cemetery.
