Jean Frances Sullivan (Tero), 90, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at Belmont Manor Nursing Home with her family in attendance. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 70 years, Edward Joseph Sullivan Jr,. who predeceased her on September 24, 2025. Born on July 15, 1935, in Framingham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Tero (Casey) and Nalbert Tero, a carpenter.
She married her sweetheart Edward Joseph Sullivan Jr. on April 17, 1955, and settled in Holliston. Jean, known lovingly as Nana, worked at home raising her two children and later caring for her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings Patricia Hurd, Nalbert Tero, and Mary Fuller. She leaves her children Edward Sullivan III. and his wife, Margaret, of Franklin, Jean Varriale and her husband, Thomas, of Dedham; her grandchildren, Rachel Pallotta and her husband, Joseph, of Reading, Abigail Sullivan of North Andover, Edward Sullivan IV of Walpole, Anna Varriale of New York City, and two great-grandchildren Margaret and Liliana Pallotta of Reading. She is also survived by her sister, Cathy Mandino, and her husband, Sylvio, of Holliston, her brother, Michael Tero, and his wife, Carla, of Eliot, Maine, her sister Ann Andre of Milford, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nana enjoyed reading, family gatherings, cooking, and lively conversation, but she is mostly known for being a fierce momma bear who looked over and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We are blessed to have had her in our lives for a very long time. We will miss her every day. But she lives on in our hearts.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston.
