Library Announces In-Person Visits and Upcoming Programs

Holliston Reporter

From Leslie McDonnell, Library Director

In-person visits to the library for browsing and computer use will resume in late March once new carpet is installed at the library. Curbside pickup and home delivery will continue uninterrupted. Patrons should watch the website at www.hollistonlibrary.org for the reopening date.

Library services are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10-6 pm; Wednesday from 10-8 pm and Saturday from 10-4 pm. The book drop is open 24/7 for returns at the lower children’s entrance.  No fines are being charged at this time.  Readers can still borrow books, films, magazines and audio from other libraries as well.

The Morning Book Club at the Holliston Public Library will discuss Daughter of Molokai by Alan Brennert at their regular meeting on Mon, April 5, at 11 am.

The Mystery Book Club will discuss Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke on Tuesday, April 13, at 11 am, and the History Book Club will share recent books members have enjoyed on Mon, March 29, at 10:30 am. Print copies of the selected titles are available from the library about a month before virtual discussions and new members are always welcome.

Patrons who would like to arrange curbside pickup can call the library at 508-429-0617 or email holreturns@minlib.net. Electronic resources from Libby or Hoopla include electronic books, downloadable audio, digital magazines and streaming TV shows and movies. All are available to use free of charge with a valid library card. The library staff is also available to answer questions and put together bags of books for patrons.

The library has discounted passes to a variety of museums and local attractions and is selling tickets to Southwick Zoo in Mendon, which opens on April 12.
