Members of the Lions Club were out Sunday decorating the town. The annual program which had fallen on leaner times a few years back, was reinvigorated by Lion Ed Daniels. This year member Steve Apesos has taken up the role as Santa’s helper.
The younger version of the Lions, the Leos were seen at 747 Washington Street (corner of Washington & Hollis Street) untangling lengths of red and white bulbs.
Across the street a bucket truck was pressed into service decorating downtown trees. Town Hall and the police station all received attention as well as Blair Square.
While no stroll is planned this year, Kevin Conley said a kick off to the holiday is planned at Blair Square on Small Business Saturday November 27th.
Blair Square will be getting a light makeover this year when Lion Peter Barbieri completes his added touches.
