UPTON, MA – Award-winning filmmakers Erika Lynn Jolie and Emily Crosier are currently
working on their feature debut, Only You, an emotional coming-of-age drama set against the
Appalachian Trail. Exploring themes of grief, addiction, and the healing power of nature, Only
You promises a powerful story of personal redemption.
The film, set to be shot mid 2025, follows the emotional journey of Claire James and her
estranged father, Noah, as they tackle the physical and emotional challenges of a 2,185-mile
hike along the Appalachian Trail. Only You features a standout cast, including Brenna D’Amico
(Disney’s Descendants), Richard Riehle (Office Space), Clayton Royal Johnson (Stranger
Things 4), and Jessica Morris (One Life to Live), bringing a wealth of experience and talent to
the project.
“This is my love letter to hiking and the Appalachian Trail,” says Writer and Director Jolie, an
avid hiker who has almost completed The New Hampshire 48, a series of challenging peaks
along the New England portion of the Appalachian Trail, and the John Muir Trail, a renowned
211-mile trail through California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.
Having met at Nipmuc Regional High School, Jolie and Crosier initially bonded over their shared
love of visual storytelling. Despite attending college across the country, they continued to grow
close together collaborating on short films and music videos, bringing together Jolie’s passion
for directing and screenwriting, and Crosier’s talent for producing.
“Making films has always been our dream, and we’re excited to embark on this journey together,
bringing the art of filmmaking to New England and showcasing its beauty on screen,” says
Crosier.
Only You will be filmed entirely in New England, showcasing regional talent and supporting local
businesses to capture the authentic essence of the area. Currently in the funding phase, the
production team is actively seeking investors, local vendors, and sponsors to help bring this
