ABOUT THE CONCERT
This June, mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora brings her acclaimed Mano a Mano concert series to Holliston Town Hall for an evening of classical music that crosses oceans, languages, and centuries. Mano a Mano: Arias in Dialogue is a one-hour program that places beloved European operatic arias in conversation with their Spanish and Latin American counterparts — revealing the profound musical kinship that binds traditions often thought to be worlds apart.
Through the interwoven themes of identity, love, and community, the program illuminates connections between operatic classics and rarely heard Latin American gems, introducing classical Hispanic repertoire to new audiences across New England and beyond.
WORLD PREMIERES
This season features seven world premieres of newly arranged works by composer Laura Intravia, specially commissioned for Mano a Mano by Fanny Lora and performed with a Boston-based chamber ensemble. Each concert includes a brief post-performance discussion to foster cultural exchange and community dialogue.

Mano a Mano is a concert series created by mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora that explores how diverse musical traditions can walk alongside Hispanic classical music — uncovering shared ground where it isn’t immediately apparent. At its heart, the series is a search for connection: a reminder that what seems different on the surface often carries a thread that binds us together in the most profound ways.
RECOGNITION
On March 3rd, 2026, Fanny Lora and the Mano a Mano Ensemble performed at the Massachusetts State House as part of Creative Advocacy Day, where they were presented with an official Citation of Congratulations for being selected to perform and for their continued contributions to the arts in the Commonwealth.
