Margaret Dixon

Margaret J. Dixon, 80, of Sherborn, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, September 26, 2025. Born in Tunapuna, Trinidad, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie (Rawlins) and Alexander Marino. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to the late Richard G. Dixon.

Margaret was a longtime resident of Sherborn, having grown up in Framingham and graduated from Framingham South High School. She worked for many years as an office manager at Daigneault Dental and also spent time driving a school bus for Dover-Sherborn—a job she loved dearly because of the kids.
She was an avid tennis player and loved to read. One of the biggest parts of her life was haying alongside her late husband Richard. She could outwork anyone in the fields and was never shy to point out when your stacking wasn’t up to standard. She also took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens, which famously produced the biggest pumpkins around.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lisa George, and her husband, Matthew, of Littleton; her siblings, Thomas Marino and his wife, AnneMarie, and Mary Gray of Holliston. She was predeceased by her brother William Marino and her brother-in-law, Peter Gray. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Hailey, and Lexie, and her longtime companion, Everett Longstreth of Stoneham.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place afterward at Lake Grove Cemetery.
