FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced the hiring of Christine Caswell as Senior Manager of Communications, an industry veteran bringing more than 25 years of experience in journalism, higher education and strategic communications.
Caswell will serve as a trusted advisor to school leadership, helping define the school’s voice as it prepares to welcome its inaugural class and ensuring that every message reflects the distinctiveness, mission, and high quality of the Masters Academy International experience.
A native of Holliston, Massachusetts, Caswell has spent the past 26 years teaching journalism, communications, and leadership at Boston College, where she worked closely with thousands of Division 1 student-athletes to support them in the classroom and beyond. During her time at Boston College, Christine earned numerous awards and recognitions, including the Golden Eagle Award as an outstanding faculty member and the Illumination Award from the school’s Career Center and Division of Student Affairs.
“Christine’s rare combination of top-tier communications expertise and a deep understanding of the student-athlete journey makes her a vital addition to our leadership team,” said Andy Williams, Head of School at Masters Academy International. “She knows how to navigate the complex narrative around modern athletics while keeping the focus exactly where it belongs: on the growth and well-being of the student. Her ability to translate our mission into clear, compassionate communication will be instrumental as we open our doors this fall.”
A former three-season distance runner in high school, Caswell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Boston College. As a part-time lecturer at her alma mater and the University of Florida, Caswell has taught Public Speaking, Telling Difficult Stories, Interviewing Best Practices, and other courses, helping students prepare for careers in any field with clear written and verbal communication.
“The unique opportunity to join Masters Academy International blends high performance academics and athletics, helping student-athletes develop into the leaders of tomorrow,” said Christine Caswell, Senior Manager of Communications. “I’m thrilled to bring my natural curiosity, energy, and passion to help build an environment where everyone,
from young scholars to families to staff members, can thrive on and off the field.”
As Senior Manager of Communications, Caswell will work closely with MAI leadership to develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies that create cohesive messages across every facet of the institution. Caswell will also share her expertise and passion for teaching, and will be available to student-athletes who wish to improve their
communications and public speaking skills, furthering MAI’s commitment to well rounded development.
