Memorial Day 2026 Events

The 2026 Holliston Memorial Day announces the following events leading up to and including Memorial Day.

Saturday, May 16^th, Flags and posters posted along Washington Street honoring those who have given their lives in the most recent War on Terror activities.

Wednesday, May 20^th, Dressing of the towns Veterans Squares and outlying cemeteries.

Thursday, May 21^st, Dressing of Veterans graves at Lake Grove and St. Mary’s cemeteries. Volunteers to meet at 310 Woodland St at 5:00PM for instructions and assignments. This will be followed by our Flag retirement ceremony at Lake Grove Cemetery (approx. 6:00PM). Volunteers are welcome.

Monday, May 25^th, Visitation to Lake Grove (9:30AM) and St. Mary’s (10:00AM) cemeteries.

Monday, May 25^th Assemble parade at 310 Woodland St.10:45AM for 11:00AM step off. The parade route is as follows. Woodland St to Church St to Central St, stopping at Chesmore Square, to Front St, stopping at Iraq/Afghanistan Monument, to Exchange St to Railroad St to Central St to Washington St, stopping at Veterans Square, to Town Hall for ceremonies (approx. 11:45AM), reforming of the parade and continue on to HPD. Parade dismissal.

All events are open to the public.

Luncheon served to marchers at Holliston Historical Society immediately following the parade.

Do you love to sing? Then we would love to meet you! Exsultet! has openings for Soprano 1 singers for the 2021-2022 season. Auditions will be on Monday, September 20th from 7:30-9:00pm at the First Congregational Church, 725 Washington Street, in Holliston.

Cultural Council 2022 Grant Request Period Opens September 1st

The Holliston Cultural Council seeks funding proposals from local artists, organizations, and schools. The Council provides cultural programming for a variety of ages and interests throughout the year, including music and dance performances, visual arts exhibits and workshops, and school-based events. Many events were still able to take place during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Council looks forward to offering continued innovative events and workshops in 2022.
