The Milford Legion Baseball Club and Milford Post 59 have announced they  will host the 2026 Department of Massachusetts Senior State Tournament at historic Fino Field July 25th through  July 29th. Milford last hosted States in 2022

Milford will host eight district championship teams over the five days, all fighting for the state title. Milford, who  has won the States 11 times in its 97-year legacy, most recently in 2014, will look for another championship to  continue its long and storied tradition. The winner of the State Tournament will head to the New England Regional  Tournament in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, August 5 – 9. The winner will have the opportunity to play in the  World Series in Shelby, North Carolina, from August 13 – 19. Milford has played in the World Series in 1951,  1952 and 2001.

Sponsored by American Legion Post 59, Milford will celebrate their 100th season in 2029. The team has the  reputation of “Pride and Tradition” in the Milford community being respected for its alumni participation and  helping players reach the next level in playing as well as overall development. When asked about what Milford  Legion means to him, President Emeritus Chris Morcone stated, “Pride, Legacy and History – Milford is a different  group of players. There’s a certain distinction when your name is called and you’re on the team.” Morcone,  whose father Pep was the Captain of Milford’s first team in 1929, embodies that pride and tradition and can be  found at every home game along the right field line. “It’s not just a baseball legacy in Milford”, said Club President  Cindy Stulac, “it’s a community legacy”.

The schedule and teams playing in the State Tournament will be released the week of July 22nd.
