Mudville Madrigal Singers’ Spring Concert Coming Up

Mudville Singers
Mudville Singers

The Mudville Madrigal Singers began singing together in 1992. The original members all lived in or near Holliston’s Mudville neighborhood, hence their name. Since then they have been joined by singers from other towns and their repertoire has grown more eclectic. They sing classical music from different eras as well as arrangements of jazz standards and folk songs. (Think Voces8 or a co-ed version of the King Singers.)

They will perform their annual spring concert at the Lutheran Church on Friday, May 17 at 8 pm, and again at the Congregational Church of Weston on Saturday, May 18 at 5 pm. It will last about an hour. The program includes songs by Josquin, Jannequin, Elgar, Hindemith, Gjeilo, and Hammerstein and Kern. Each concert is free but donations are appreciated.
