The September meeting of the Holliston Council on Aging (CoA) was held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. Chair Yvette Cain called the meeting to order at 2:01 pm. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format with some members in person and others Zooming in.

SSF Senior Center Fall Fair Returns After 2 Year Hiatus
The crisp, cool morning air portended a great start to the 2021 SSF Yard Sale. Tables and rooms had been carefully prepared, some stuffed to overflowing with donations from every corner of Holliston and beyond.

James C. Baxter at 69
James C. Baxter, 69, of Gilmanton, NH passed away September 11, 2021 at Boston Medical Center. Jim was the son of William F. Baxter Jr. and the late Jean W. Baxter.
Funeral arrangements are being held privately with family and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.

Seven residents from Holliston will choose their own route on October 3 for the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai. Participants are encouraged to “Walk Your Way” from wherever they are most comfortable—whether that be from their neighborhood, favorite trail, or from a treadmill in their own home.
Carol (Pfeiffer) Dubin at 87
Carol (Pfeiffer) Dubin, passed peacefully at her home, on the morning of Monday September 6, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Born April 30, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, Carol was the daughter of the late Edna (Dominic) and Jackson Pfeiffer.
