Paul Redmond

Paul Edward Redmond, 62, formerly of Holliston, MA, died unexpectedly at his home in San Antonio, TX. Born in Boston, Paul was the son of Claire (Cross) Redmond and the late Charles E. Redmond.

Paul earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University, majoring in Geology and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. He earned a Master’s Degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He once said he always approached each work experience as an opportunity to learn something new and apply it in the future. His career spanned many years, where he worked as a Senior Failure Analyst and Metallurgist at several prestigious companies that included Southwest Research Institute, Weatherford International, Element Materials Technology, The Hendrix Group, Cummins Inc., and, most recently, International Motors. Paul’s professional affiliations included chairing the ASM Alamo Chapter for two years and the ASM Houston Chapter for two plus years. His publications were conference papers that were presented at the Materials Science & Technology Conference & Exhibition. His hobbies were hiking, exploring different trails, and cooking. Since Paul was an excellent cook, he was the designated host for all gatherings with both family and friends, which he enjoyed doing.
In addition to his mother, Claire, Paul is survived by his siblings Karen Redmond and Mark Redmond. He also leaves his nephew, Jonathan Redmond.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
