Police Log for Week of February 18 – 24, 2018

It’s getting harder and harder to get away with illegal dumping in this town.

February 18, 2018:

Complaint, Charles; illegal dumping in commercial dumpster. Cameras and signs recommended.

February 19:

Complaint, Woodland; idling work trucks.

Crash, 804 Washington; two from Milford engaged in paper and paint exchange.

Crash, 815 Washington; two from Medway very lightly engage each other. No paper or paint exchanged (how civil).

Complaint, 123 Washington; illegal dumping (where ya gonna go since Charles is longer available?).

Suspicious activity, Gorwin; caller said doorbell rang but no one was at the door. HP found no one there either – or walking on the street or even any parked cars on the street.

February 20:

Complaint, Locust; illegal dumping. Several names are located within the trash (Officer Obie called in for a consult).

February 21:

Vehicle stop with summons, 176 Concord; Margarita Jesus of Milford for 90/6 and 90/10 (or an average of 90/8).

Animal incident, Fiske Pond; golden retriever found. Owner called to retrieve his retriever (does that make the owner a better retriever than his dog?).

Vehicle stop with summons, Washington & Locust; Colleen of Ashland for operating with expired registration.

Animal incident, Morton; loose black lab reported (harder to retrieve than a golden)

February 22:

Crash, Highland & Prentice; Hopkinton driver could not find Holliston driver to run into so crashed all by itself.

Vehicle stop with summons, 386 South; Aaron of Warwick for speeding and operating with a suspended license.

February 23:

Vandalism, Underwood; vehicle spray painted overnight and tires slashed.

Crash, 558 Concord; Milford car found a Holliston car to hit.

Erratic driver arrested, Washington & Cross; Rony of Ashland for OUI liquor, marked lanes violation, negligent operation and not wearing a seat belt (Death Wish).

February 24:

Traffic complaint, Adams; fast moving trash trucks. HPD found several in the area (who ya gonna ticket?)

Assist citizen, Woodland; caller reports large number of cyclists on the closed 8 arch bridge ignoring his advice to stay off as it is an active construction site. HPD advised the group to use Woodland Street when they return (or risk going home without their tights).

BWTM:

When people see a cat’s litter box they always say, “Oh, have you got a cat?” Just once I want to say, “No, it’s for company!”
