Roger W. Boyle at 68

Roger W. Boyle, 68 years of age of Holliston, MA, passed away at home on April 17, 2022. He is survived by two sons, Michael Boyle of Las Vegas and Christopher Boyle of Boston (and their respective partners, husband Jeffrey Millar of Las Vegas and Chelsea Peterson of Boston); his mother, Violet Boyle of New Jersey and his brother, Douglas (and Joanne) of New Jersey.  He is predeceased by his wife, Wendy Boyle and father Donald Boyle and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Hilgert. Roger is also survived by sisters-in-law, Donna (and John) Rhode; Judith (and Blaikie) Hines; Dianne Hobbie; Patricia Hilgert; several nieces and nephews and long-time partner Kathy Clinton and her family.

Roger was born August 13, 1953, in Plainfield, NJ. He graduated from Greenbrook High School in 1971 and Babson College in 1975, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He married Wendy on July 6, 1985, in Darien, CT and settled in Holliston, MA where they raised their family. Roger spent his professional career working for various companies including Congoleum, Bay State Gas and Polaroid and eventually established his own small construction company, “All in the Details”, in Holliston. In addition, he was involved in event planning for the BAA and a member of a local band, “Crack the Plaster/Second Story” as the Bass player. Roger enjoyed spending time enjoying nature and on the water at the family house in Maine. He was very curious and loved learning new things, was a friend and helper to everyone, and never gave up even when faced with adversity.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30th from 10-11 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston with an 11:00 funeral home service to follow. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to support cancer research in Roger ’s memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O.
