Rose Marie DeCesare

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Rose Marie DeCesare, 90 years old of Westborough, Ma, let go of her daughter’s hands and went to Heaven. Born in Lewiston, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Florence Rose (Bray) and Sidney Corey of Holliston, MA.

She was the wife of over 61 years to Joseph J. DeCesare, the best mother in the world to her twins Gregory J. DeCesare of Marshfield, MA and Faith A. DeCesare, of Westborough, MA, well-loved grandmother to AJ and Nick DeCesare of Marshfield, MA, and sister to Barbara A. Gilman of Ashland, MA.

Rose was a graduate of Holliston High where she enjoyed popularity and played many varsity sports. She worked for many years as an executive secretary at General Electric Telechron in Ashland, MA.

A devout Christian woman, she spent her life ministering to people, humbly helping and loving people of all walks of life. She was always there to make cookies or a hot meal, give a ride, run an errand, help with any project, lend a listening ear, to share a cup of tea, a good story, a laugh, a tear, or to cheer on the sidelines. Most importantly, she held countless people in her heartfelt unending prayers.

In her quiet moments, Rose loved to spend time in her garden, read, go for a walk, bake, or walk on the beach, looking for shells or sea glass, often watching the ocean for her son to safely return to the harbor after a day of lobstering.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Sidney Corey, and her sisters Dorothy Carpinetti and Oleva Picard. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved dearly including Debbie DePersia who when Greg introduced her to our family immediately found a very special place in her heart.

Funeral arrangements will be held privately under the care of Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston, MA. In lieu of flowers, plant some in your yard in her memory, or give a donation to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, or to a family that needs an extra blessing.
