St. Mary’s Parish

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, a special anniversary celebration took place at St. Mary’s Parish, Holliston. The WINGS (Women in God’s Spirit) ministry marked a significant milestone—twenty-five years of women deepening their relationship with God and each other. A special Mass marked the importance of this occasion, celebrated by the Pastor of St. Mary’s, Reverend Mark Coiro and assisted by Deacons John Barry, Ronald Dowding, and Martin Breinlinger. Following Mass, over seventy-five WINGS members and friends from Holliston and surrounding towns gathered for a festive reception.

The WINGS ministry allows women to deepen their relationship with God and develop bonds of deep friendship with one another. Community is a huge part of the ministry and life-long friendships have evolved over the years. The WINGS Core Team includes numerous Holliston residents: Ann Chiango, Sarah Kane, Cathy Stenquist, Betty Febo, Emma Peralta, Lisa Dufault and WINGS Founder Jennifer Schiller who lived in Holliston for 25 years. It also includes Moderator Diane Collins of Hopkinton and Pat Campo-LeBlanc of Medway.

Jennifer Schiller reminded attendees of the blessings of the ministry, “Through WINGS we have grown in so many beautiful ways allowing us to become more fully the women that God has called us to be. We’ve studied and discovered the treasures of our Catholic faith through inspiring speakers, we’ve read and reflected upon God’s Word in Holy Scripture, and we’ve learned how to live out our faith in daily life through the example of folks responding to the call of Christian discipleship. We’ve also become better at listening to and learning from one another through gathering in small sharing groups and relishing in the beauty of wisdom shared by women of many different ages.”

WINGS welcomes women of all ages and life stages to join them. Our 2025-26 program will meet on Wednesday mornings beginning in October.
