The fat lady has sung, and four 300th cakes consumed during the Holiday Stroll, as the town now enters its 301st year. What remains is a lot of memories and the 300th Anniversary Book. Two and a half years in the making and 466 pages long, the book brings you a little history, personal stories, and a wealth of matter about the town’s culture. In fact the book had so much material that 100 pages fell to the cutting room floor
On Saturday the main authors, Mary Greendale, Joanne Hulbert, and this writer autographed books at Fiske’s store from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Of the 600 books printed only 59 remain unsold. They are available at Fiske’s or Out Post Farm. They make an excellent Christmas gift, or a welcome to the neighborhood gift for newcomers.
