Holliston Police and Landry’s Bicycles teamed up for the fourth time to offer a Bike Safety Rodeo.
Young riders had their bikes tuned up and their helmets correctly fitted. After that it was out to ride their bikes through some obstacle courses.
HPD Lieutenant George Leurini (below) himself a serious bike rider was taking today off from riding after putting in a 44-mile training ride yesterday.
Lt. Leurini pointed out Officer Ryan Parent who was wearing the high-visibility shirt worn by HPD officers when on bike patrol around town. Officer Parent is licensed by the FAA to fly his personal drone. Saturday, Officer Parent was using his drone to capture the action from about fifty up. Look for some of his photos on the HPD Facebook page.
There is an expression about the difference between men and boys is the size of their toys. Below, School Resource / Motorcycle Officer Michael Woods stands with his BIG bike. While Officer Woods wasn’t looking, Officer Ethan Coakley, also a Motorcycle Officer took the bike for a spin around the parking lot.
Thank you HPD and Landry’s for helping several youngster safer bike riders.
