As we are all living through interesting times, it is a good time to reflect on the impact the athletes from The Class of 2020 had on Holliston High School. Beginning with EEE and ending with Covid19, it was certainly an interesting year.

During this period of uncertainty, Lions Clubs across Massachusetts are struggling to find ways to continue to serve those who need help. In addition to the social distancing requirements, many of our Clubs, or individual Lions members are only too familiar with the devastation COVID-19 has wreaked on individual families and friends.

Chair Stacey Raffi called this week’s School Committee meeting to order at 7:21 PM on Thursday, (following an Executive Session). Among items on this evening’s agenda were public comments, a COVID19 update, and user fee refunds.
Holliston’s Park and Recreation Department announces the re-opening of Goodwill Park tennis courts and athletic fields. Restroom facilities remain closed.
While the Memorial Day observance will be different this year, showing that we remember the ultimate sacrifice by so many is something we can all do – while staying safer at home.

I hope we can all take some time this weekend to remember those who have sacrificed for our country as we celebrate the Memorial Day holiday. My office will be taking some time to reflect and reconnect with family and we’ll look forward to being back in touch with the next issue of the newsletter on Tuesday.
