Cystic Fibrosis Foundation hosted its 27th Annual CF Cycle for Life on Saturday, October 5th at Fatima Shrine. 28 Teams which consisted of 149 participants put their pedals in motion to cycle 12, 30, and 65 miles and raised an amazing $181,595 to help find a cure for CF.
After the birth of his niece Haylee in 1998, Matt Varrell and family organized the 1st Annual Cycle for Haylee in Holliston. The 25-mile ride would evolve into the CF Cycle for Life in 2012, a nationwide campaign to support the CFF mission. 27 years ago, the Varrell, Reed and Dunn families could not have imagined the outcome: $4.6 million dollars raised, and 5831 riders recruited.
From breakfast to our cycle post party, everyone enjoyed themselves. This event has teams that have been participating for year such as Team LSD, Amazing Gracie, and 12:15 Express. There were also new teams that joined us such as Project Juno and Prime Medicine. Thank you to everyone that rode, volunteered, and donated. Special thanks to Patty Osten, the Holliston Lions, and Bob Nemet, this event couldn’t happen without you! Thank you to our local sponsors Titos, Ahronian Landscaping, Jack’s Abby, Landry’s, Foundation Cares, VHB, Alcresta, and Commonwealth Scaffold. Everyone’s support and dedication is greatly appreciated, because we need help to reach the finish line: A CF CURE.
We are excited to announce that in 2025 CF Cycle for Life will be moving to Revolution Hall in Lexington. Revolution Hall is a beautiful fun location with space inside and outside for everyone to enjoy. We hope to have everyone join us at the new venue.
