Why am I not surprised? None of the members of the parole board has been a police officer. Many have been appointed by the Governor to parole boards many times while working as parole officers or social workers. How about appointing a few police officers who deal with criminals on the street? How safe would any of us be if the officers @ HPD were replaced with current and former parole board members?
I would like to know what qualifications a person must have to be on the parole board. Was Jimenez given a test to see if he was mentally stable to handle freedom 43 years in prision? Who is to say he wiil not kill someone again.
