The barn at the Holliston Historical Society was alive with music as guests sang along with Roger Tincknell Friday night, July 25, 2025.
Friends and neighbors of all ages sang a wide variety of favorite songs from many decades. Musician Roger has been making music with children, families, and seniors in the U.S., Canada, and Europe for over 45 years. His strong, expressive vocal styles and masterful instrumental skills—on guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and percussion—bring a warmth and versatility to his music.
Community Sings are a great tradition in the United States and around the world. They’re not concerts—everyone shares in the music-making and no experience or special talent is required! Many of the tunes were familiar (patriotic, summertime, country, kids, and folk), and the lyrics were available.
This program was funded in part by a grant from the Holliston Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Watch for the show to appear on Holliston Hub HCAT soon (32 on Verizon, 8 on Comcast)
