Thomas Laronga

Thomas M. Laronga, 91, of Sebago, Maine and formerly of Holliston, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, with his children by his side. He was the son of the late Anthony and Ann (DeGrappo) Laronga.

As a graduate of Holliston High School, Class of 1953, Tom excelled in both baseball and basketball and was recently honored at the Holliston Hall of Fame ceremony for his outstanding achievements in those sports. He was an active participant in class activities, maintaining and enjoying long-term relationships with many classmates throughout his life.

Tom proudly served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, where he was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He graduated from Burdett College in Boston and went on to hold positions in International shipping and freight forwarding, with companies such as Fenwal in Ashland, MA, and Wang Laboratories in Tewksbury, MA, where he was promoted to Director of Transportation.

He retired to Sebago, Maine, after working well into his 70’s and found pleasure in umpiring summer softball games and enjoying the peaceful life found only in Maine. He was often seen at the local gym 3 times a week as he approached 90!

His tremendous love of sports, particularly Boston teams, led him from a legacy in basketball and baseball, to coaching soccer and little league baseball, to providing enlightening advice and humorous commentary to his fantasy football league.
He leaves behind his two children, son, Thomas Jr. of Sebago, Maine, daughter, Barbara, and her wife, Lori, of Los Angeles, California, his sister, Donna Laronga of Bellingham, MA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was the brother of the late Richard Laronga and Ann Connolly. Tom will always be remembered as an easy-going and well-liked person with a quick wit and a kind heart who will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25th, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25th, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
