While the pandemic shut us down last year, and we had limited time to put this carnival on, fortunately, we were able to make it work. Thanks to the horrible weather we’ve been faced with we have had to make some tough decisions. We shut down after only a couple of hours on both Wednesday and Thursday and as a result, we were unable to do bracelet sales on Thursday. It’s not all bad news however! We’ve extended our carnival!

The Holliston Lions Club is proud to be supporting our local Seniors and Veteran’s during this difficult time. Normally, we would be planning our year-end cookout at the Holliston Senior Center where we would welcome more than 100 seniors and Vets to have a typical barbeque.

Yes, I know the weather isn’t feeling much like spring but the calendar is showing that we’ll soon be dealing with longer, warmer days. Before Daylight Savings arrives on March 14, you have an opportunity to spend the last day of this part of 2021 with sunsets earlier than 6:00 pm winning some cash! How you ask? Halloween is coming! With everyone concerned about the threat of EEE and our ongoing concerns about COVID19, the Holliston Lions & Community Farm have opted to not proceed with our Haunted Hay Walk. However, we want to offer a safe and fun alternative for Halloween for Holliston residents.

The Holliston Lions Club would like to extend their appreciation to everyone who purchased a ticket for our Big Raffle. We’d also like to thank HCAT for the assistance they provided in helping us eliminate all but our last 10 finalists!
The Lions Club motto is “We Serve”. For more than 100 years, this has been the motto of the Association. This year, we faced unprecedented challenges in Holliston, first with the threat of EEE in the fall and ending the year with COVID-19.
The Holliston Lions Club would like to express our appreciation to those who already purchased tickets for the 2020 $10,000 Big Raffle. For the past 13 years, the Holliston Lions held the $10,000 Big Raffle and each year someone wins the $10,000 grand prize! Only 300 tickets are sold (there are still a few tickets available for purchase).
The Holliston Lions Club is encouraging students who are interested to participate in the 2020 – 2021 Lions Youth Speech Contest. This years’ topic for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be “Is winning everything?”
