The Holliston Lions Club would like to extend their appreciation to everyone who purchased a ticket for our Big Raffle. We’d also like to thank HCAT for the assistance they provided in helping us eliminate all but our last 10 finalists! A list of the finalists can be found on our website – congratulations for having made it this far!
The final drawing is set for September 12, and will be broadcast live — you can watch all the fun and excitement when we bring together the last 11 finalists (including the 11th ticket winner) via Zoom to decide if they will split the $10,000 grand prize or they will continue to draw until we get to only one person!! The Zoom meeting will be streamed live to the Holliston Cable Access Facebook page and broadcast on Holliston Cable Access TV (Verizon/FIOS 33, Comcast/XFINITY 96). This is one of the most exciting hours of our raffle every year so don’t miss out! For those who purchased a $100 ticket originally, you can still get back in the final drawing by purchasing chances for the 11th Ticket Drawing! Those tickets are available only until September 9th so don’t miss out!
As most of you know, the Big Raffle is our second largest fundraising event of the Lions year. This event helps us fund scholarships for high school seniors, provide lunch for Holliston’s senior citizen population, provides us the means to support the Holliston Pantry Shelf and more! We could not do this without the generous support of this community and we are grateful for that support.
Many local business owners were generous enough to donate goods and services for our Big Raffle. In “normal” years, these items would be raffled off the night of the event which limits participation to only those who either purchased a ticket or were guests of someone who did. This year is far from normal! Instead, we are doing an online auction which includes some fantastic gifts and everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to bid on these items. You’ll find everything from hand-crafted jewelry to golf outings. Bidding is open until September 16 at which time the winning bidders will be notified. Silent auction winning bidders will be notified by the email used for registration and be able to make a non contact pick up on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Pick up will be at the parking lot of St. Michael’s Church 1162 Highland St, Holliston, MA 01746.
