Holliston Lions Club Carnival Update

Holiston Reporter

While the pandemic shut us down last year, and we had limited time to put this carnival on, fortunately, we were able to make it work. Thanks to the horrible weather we’ve been faced with we have had to make some tough decisions. We shut down after only a couple of hours on both Wednesday and Thursday and as a result, we were unable to do bracelet sales on Thursday. It’s not all bad news however! We’ve extended our carnival!

We want to thank everyone who took the time to attend the carnival on Wednesday and Thursday night, despite Mother Nature’s best efforts to keep you at home! We appreciate your support. To those of you who made donations, and participated, we thank you too. Corner Market & Table Top Pizza have been very helpful as we had such a limited time to plan for this carnival versus previous years and these two local businesses helped us make Pizza available for those who were attending.

Fanelli Amusements has been extraordinarily flexible in helping us make this work – we’ve had this carnival for so many years, we have family’s living in Holliston who have never known any other event put on by the Holliston Lions Club.

Here’s the revised plan:

Friday — we’ll make a decision by noon. You can visit the Holliston Lions Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/HollistonLionsClub for updates on Friday.

Here is what you have to look forward to: (Remember all sales are CASH ONLY! – we still do this the old fashioned way!)

Friday: 5pm – 11pm — we’ll sell bracelets which will cover ALL RIDES from 9pm to 11pm for a cost of $15 per person. Parents who need to be on rides with their young ones will be required to have a bracelet or tickets.

The food tent will be open from 5pm to 11pm — we’re offering Coca Cola products, homemade chili, pizza (and pizza “meal deals”), snacks including chips, pretzels, M & M’s, Skittles, and juice boxes.

Saturday: 1pm to 11pm – we’ll sell bracelets which will cover ALL RIDES from 1pm-5pm $30 person. Parents who need to be on rides with their young ones will be required to have a bracelet or tickets.

The food tent will be open from 1pm to 11pm — we’re offering Coca Cola products, homemade chili (while it lasts!), pizza (and pizza “meal deals”), snacks including chips, pretzels, M & M’s, Skittles, and juice boxes.

Don’t forget the American Legion will be sponsoring a laser light show which will be at Goodwill Park around 8:45 pm! Stop by our food tent, pick up snacks and a drink and head on over for a fantastic show!

Sunday: 1pm-6pmALL RIDES ALL DAY $30 BRACELETS!

The food tent will be open from 1pm to 6pm — we’re offering Coca Cola products, homemade chili (while it lasts!), pizza (and pizza “meal deals”), snacks including chips, pretzels, M & M’s, Skittles, and juice boxes.

The Holliston Lions Club is grateful for all of the support from our community. Thanks to you we are able to provide scholarships to graduating seniors, provide meals to seniors over the holidays, honor our Veterans on Veteran’s Day, and do many other projects which have an impact in our community. We are proud to call Holliston our home and we are looking forward to serving you in the upcoming year.

  1. Thanks to the Finelli People for adapting and cooperating with the Lions under unusually difficult circumstances. They have been a team with the Lions for as long as I can remember.
