Holliston Receives “AAA” Bond Rating
Wednesday, June 30, 2021: Holliston, MA: The Town of Holliston has received an upgraded bond rating from Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings (“S&P”) to AAA, the highest available long-term rating on its outstanding general obligation (GO) bonds (upgraded from AA+).

Annual Flag Count This Weekend!
As we’ve done for the past two 4th of July weekends, we will be out and about Holliston looking for flags and other patriotic displays this coming weekend. We hope that you might choose to join this year’s count.

Calling all Registered Democrats in Holliston
Holliston Democratic Town Committee members will host a virtual caucus to elect delegates to the 2021 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The Zoom caucus will convene at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10. All Holliston Democrats are encouraged to participate.

Please sign up ASAP for the Holliston Historical Society 40th Harvest Fair. The date is September 19, 2021 with a rain date of September 26, 2021. We still have spaces available, but these spaces are filling up quickly with 41 already booked.

Citizen of the Year Is Back!
It’s that time of year when we get to nominate Hollistonians for Citizen of the Year 2021. Nominations are open now through August 20, 2021.
Holliston’s First Farmers Market – A recap from the HCAT Team
Holliston had a lot to celebrate last weekend, perhaps most notably was the launch of our town’s very own Farmers Market. As a member of the Holliston Cable Access board, I was proud to be part of the crew on the scene to capture some of the special moments for our community to relive for years to come.
Holliston’s Akshara Shankar Honored
Akshara Shankar, a 2021 graduate of Holliston High School, was recently selected to receive an award from Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation to recognize her for setting up a nonprofit to alert volunteers about the type of donations that are needed to stock local food pantries.
From Camps to Concerts: Parks and Recreation
After 15 months of masked, socially distant and small-group programming Parks and Recreation is thrilled to be looking ahead to a summer of relative normalcy. There are a number of new and exciting things the department is excited to highlight, that should serve the community’s recreational needs better than ever. Here are few initiatives and services that are new for 2021.
Mosquito Spraying Scheduled
Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will be in Holliston: June 29, 30, July 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28. All dates are tentative due to weather conditions.
