The Community Farm Advisory Committee (CFAC) met virtually Thursday eve, December 17, 2020. Local farmer Kevin Overshiner of Upswing Farm informed the board members he and his wife have purchased a farm near the Massachusetts/N.H. border.

Select Board Quarterly Recap: July – September 2020
The Select Board has several critical functions, many of which have been upended by Coronavirus and the closing of Town Hall to foot traffic. Challenges are not unusual, and while it may be difficult to have meetings, the residents of Holliston have been able to engage and participate much more often. The paradigm of 2020 has meant greater input from the residents of the Town, even if it seems more isolating than before.

Holliston Water Department Bills Coming Soon
The quarterly water bills will be mailed out Thursday, October 15, 2020. This bill reflects water usage for the period July – September 2020 and any arrears.
Civics Sunday: Special Town Meeting Date Change
The Select Board has voted to delay Special Town Meeting from the regularly scheduled date of Monday, October 26, 2020. The new date and time selected is Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 1:00p.m. at the High School Auditorium, 370 Hollis Street.
Cleaning Up from the Storm?
The Marshall Street Recycling Area will be open for its regular hours on Saturdays, that is 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additionally, the area will be open two Sundays—October 10 and October 18—from 8:00AM to 3:00 PM.
St. Mary’s Plans Drive Thru “Blessing of the Animals” – Next Sunday
St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church will hold a drive through Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 11, at 1:30 PM, in the main St. Mary’s Church parking lot.
Paying It Forward
Ralph and Nancy Stover have lived in town for many years. Giving to others is a way of life for them: active member of the VFW, Altar Guild at St. Michael’s Church, adopting rescued dogs, and busy at the Senior Center. This alone has made for many friends.
