“A Holliston Call to Duty” is a tribute to military veterans from the small Massachusetts town of Holliston, thirty miles southwest of Boston. Little has been previously told about the lives of these men and women who were called in times of peace and war to the nation’s defense.

The April meeting of the Council on Aging (CoA) was held in the mostly refurbished Holliston Senior Center Great Room on Wednesday the 14th.
On a sunny Thursday afternoon I had the enormous pleasure of watching 10 talented children put on their first dress rehearsal of Anne of Green Gables. (See cast list below.) The youngest was in first grade, and only two were in fifth grade. Amazingly, they brought this well-loved tale to life despite their ages.

Following Chair Nancy Baron’s reading of the remote open meeting statement at 7 PM on April 7, and roll call attendance, Trustees voted to approve minutes from the March 3, 2021 meeting. Baron then turned the floor over to Library Director Leslie McDonnell for the Director’s Report.
Holliston has its very own Television station – “Holliston Cable Access.” The main purpose of HCAT-TV is to produce and televise all sorts of community television shows for the local viewing audience. Producing a TV show includes some technical knowledge and a certain level of creativity. Some residents are aware that HCAT employs a small staff and relies heavily upon volunteers to uphold our mission.
This is a Holy Week for the Christian and Jewish faiths.

The first week of spring brings warm weather and a busy Thursday. The Library reopens for in-person visits, the Governance Committee holds public forum, and the Historical Society holds a virtual ‘movie night.’
The Holliston Public Library will re-open for in-person visits, browsing and computer use on Thursday, March 25 on the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10-6 pm; Wednesday from 10-8 pm; and Saturday from 10-4 pm.
