I want to be one of the first to wish you and your family a happy Independence Day! I hope you have a moment to take time this weekend to reflect on our shared American values.

As we plan for a safe and socially distant Fourth of July, my office has received several questions about the most current policies regarding travel guidance and self-quarantine for both Massachusetts residents looking to “get away” for the weekend and those of us hoping to connect with family while keeping our loved ones healthy.

Our state takes pride in providing the best public education in the nation. During the pandemic, students of all ages have faced unprecedented disruption to their learning environment, and teachers, staff, caregivers, and families have stepped up to adapt to these challenging circumstances in new and creative ways.

The Holliston School Committee is pleased to announce our unanimous vote to appoint Dr. Susan Kustka as interim superintendent for the 2020-21 school year, pending successful contract negotiations.

As you know, the science around understanding, identifying, and treating COVID-19 is a new and quickly evolving field.

We already know that the impacts of COVID-19 extend far beyond the devastating effects on individuals and families who’ve been directly impacted by the virus.
