Holliston Youth Basketball – Week 5
And then there was one…one lone team remains undefeated for Holliston. Keep it going coaches McHugh, McDonald and Dufault, and all of the 7th Grade Boys Team. In other hardwood action, we had last minute wins, last minute losses and last-minute postponements. We also managed to have 2 games end with the same score of 19-18.
Bobby’s (Blair not Flay) Home Cooking
I just delivered an old cookbook to the little library down the street. I tend to cook from the gut and figure recipes are for those who have more patience than me. This concoction is simply to make and makes great leftovers. Delete the meat and it becomes a vegan meal.

Water Bills to Be Sent
The quarterly water bills will be mailed out Tuesday, January 18, 2022. This bill reflects water usage for the period October – December 2021 and any arrears.

School Committee Holds First Meeting of the New Year
A regular open meeting of the Holliston School Committee began, following a 6:30 PM Executive Session, on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 7:02 PM. Chair Cynthia Listewnik said that the group was ready to move into its agenda. Votes were taken to accept a series of past meeting minutes from both regular and executive sessions that will be posted online.

Spring is but a mere two and a half months away. By tax time, April 15th , the big box stores will be luring you in to purchase their offerings. If you think the prices at your local food store are rising quickly, just wait till you try and purchase a plant for Mothers’ Day.

Library Trustees Meet in New Year
Library Trustees Chair Karla Alfred opened its first meeting of 2022 at 7:09 PM, on Wednesday evening, January 5, 2022. All members and Library Director Leslie McDonnell were present virtually, attending to two important items on its agenda: the evaluation of the Director and the FY23 Budget.
