On Thursday evening, April 23, the School Committee met in special session for an update on the COVID19 closure and the presentation of a proposal for a Computer Science Endorsement Program.

Some positive news from the Governor’s press conference today: our state’s Commissioner of Public Health, Dr. Monica Bharel, made her first public appearance since recovering from COVID-19 which she contracted last month.

Today, the Governor released a public service announcement urging Massachusetts residents who require urgent or emergency care for all conditions, not just COVID-19, to seek medical attention if they need it.

For the fifth consecutive day in a row, new cases of COVID-19 have dropped, although overall numbers remain relatively high. Today, the Governor announced that school closures for childcare, pre-K, and K-12 programs will continue through June for all public and private schools.
