Publishers’ Note: One of the reasons we enjoy our work as Publishers, is getting to learn; about the town and the people who make it such a wonderful community. This week we got to learn about Cole Court.
A Cole Court resident invited us to the event to meet the residents and the Executive Director, Paul Landers. Paul had a few minutes before the luncheon began to share what the Housing Authority does – especially recent improvements. Paul leads the Framingham Housing Authority which entered into a management agreement with Holliston in 2018. He pointed out how the resources from Framingham help with the operational aspects and accessing grant money for capital improvements.
Since beginning the partnership with the Holliston Housing Authority, 12 of the 65 units have had new kitchens installed. 450 new energy efficient windows were installed in conjunction with Eversource. In 2019, porches, decks, and the fire alarm system have been upgraded.
He complimented the very active resident board who helps Paul and the other administrators apply the clout of Framingham for the benefit of Holliston’s citizens. And then it was time for the food and fun . . .
Two important things to note in this photo: one of the improvements made in the past year was to refresh the community center where the luncheon was held; and behind Paul is the buffet lunch – truly Paul is between the guests and the food.
Speaking of the food, the catering was done by TJ’s from Ashland, and the Holliston Lions Club donated the food as a thank you for the occasional use of the community center.

Really glad to read this. Cole Court went so long without a Director. So happy all on the upswing.
