Community Farm Advisory members met Thursday night at town hall to ready plans for their 1st Night Bonfire. This December 31st event will be the farms 3rd annual and is dedicated this year to the town’s 300th anniversary. A new twist to the fire this year will be the shape of the conflagration as it will be built in the shape of an H according to chairman Dennis Serocki.
Richard Ball and Doreen Martel, this years Citizens of the Year are expected to lite the huge inferno. Select Board members will be invited to help kick off this years 300th Anniversary. The entire town is invited to this free event which will feature hot cider and chili in the farms greenhouse.
Donations are gladly accepted. Smaller fire pits will encircle the larger fire for folks to gather around. The festivities begin at 8 pm after the Friends of Holliston Trails 1st Night Walk.
The fire will be lit at 8:30 pm Bring a folding chair. The Community Farm is located at 34 Rogers Road near the intersection of Jeffrey Ave. and Whitney Street.
