Ed DiTommaso at 70

Ed DiTommaso, 70, of Holliston, MA, passed away on June 21, after complications from Alzheimer’s disease. His beloved wife Cynthia Lessard and daughter Kathryn (Kate) were by his side.

Ed, the eldest of four boys, was born to Joan and Lew DiTommaso and raised in Brighton, MA. After Ed graduated from Brighton High School, he went to work for the US Public Service Hospital. Ed went back to school and graduated from Newbury College as a Physical Therapy Assistant. He loved working with his patients.

Ed loved to run and completed two marathons and countless 5k and 10k races. He loved the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. Ed also loved music, of all kinds, from Aerosmith to ZZ Top. Ed enjoyed going to concerts with his music-loving partner, Kate.

Ed is survived by his wife Cindy of 41 years and his daughter Kate, his brothers, David and his wife Mary, Joel and his wife Cheryl and Philip (Pip) and his wife Janine. His brother-in-law Dennis and his wife Victoria. His parents-in-law Emile and Pauline Lessard. His nephews, Shawn, Joe, Daniel, and Erik, and nieces Danielle, Adrienne, and Kendall, many loving coworkers and an abundance of friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 9:00 to 12:00. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com  In the spirit of Ed please come in casual dress. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization Ed and his family felt strongly about.
