HOLLISTON, Mass. JULY 15, 2025 – The Town of Holliston is seeking applicants to fill an
open seat on the Finance Committee, and the appointment will end May 2026 (next Town
Election). The Holliston Finance Committee is an elected body of seven (7) members. Due to a
resignation after the May 2025 election, one seat is open for appointment for a period ending May
2026 (next Town election), at which time the open seat will be on the ballot.
Any resident interested in appointment to the seat through the May 2026 may send in a Letter
of Interest to the Town Manager’s Office to be reviewed and considered by the Finance Committee
and Select Board. Due date for submission will be Friday, August 22, 2025 at 12 pm Noon.
A Letter of Interest must include: name, address, background information and/or
qualifications, and reason for interest in the Finance Committee. Must be a registered voter of the
Town of Holliston. Pursuant to Town By-Laws, the appointment of Finance Committee member will
require roll call vote of the Finance Committee and Select Board, tentatively scheduled for August
28, 2025, and followed by a swearing in by the Town Clerk before the appointed person will be a
voting member of the Finance Committee.
