First Night Trail Walk Just Days Away

Holliston Reporter

From Gretchen Prieve

Food, Fun, Friends, Family, and Entertainment all available New Year’s Eve on the Upper Charles Rail Trail between Blair Square and Cross Street.

There could be almost 50 firepits along the walk offering warmth, friendship, and sometimes treats. There will be prizes for the best firepit – with voting open to the public – details to follow.

The Friends of Holliston Trails have lined up two entertainers: “The Unlikely Strummers”, an all Ukulele band; and “Cryptic Firecat,” a juggler.

Food options will include TC Scoops, hot dogs in Phipps Tunnel, and rumor has it, S’mores at Blair Square.

There may be an ice sculpture similar to last year’s making an appearance.

The long-range weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, temperature in the mid-30’s, and a slight breeze – perfect conditions for family and friends to gather around the firepits!

Hope to see everyone there!
