Frances M. Kampersal, 92, of Holliston, passed away at her home early on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Born in White Plains, New York, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (McGinnis) and Peter Sawyer. She was the wife of the late Ernest C. Kampersal.
Frances spent her childhood in Tarrytown, New York, before moving to Saxonville, Massachusetts, where she spent her high school years and was a graduate of Framingham High School. After graduation, she attended Framingham Union Nursing School. She worked as a nurse in training, and later worked as a bank clerk at Bank of America, and also at Temple Galleries in Holliston.. Frances was a proud Holliston resident for 71 years, where she and her husband built their home and raised seven children. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s Guild for many years and was actively involved in the Holliston Senior Center. When her children were young, she was a Girl Scout Leader. She was known for her love of sewing, her beautiful singing voice, and her passionate involvement in the Holliston community. Frances will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared with everyone around her. A woman who touched lives with kindness and devotion, she was deeply cherished by her family and friends.
Frances is survived by her children, Debora DeBello and her husband, David, of Wellesley, Rein Kampersal and his wife, Michele, of South Carolina, Brenda Chapin and her husband, Peter, of Medway, Brian Kampersal and his wife, Krissy, of Nevada, and Judy Tessier of Ft. Collins, CO. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; her son-in-law, Walter Mark and his wife Kristen of Franklin and daughter-in-law, Denise Kampersal, of Indiana. She is predeceased by two children, Cheryl Mark, and Ernest Kamersal Jr.; her siblings, Shirley Hoffman, Peter Sawyer, Raymond Sawyer, and Theresa McDonald; and son-in-law, Paul Tessier.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.
