
Gerald H. Gagnon, formerly of Holliston, MA. passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2026, at the age of 96. Gerald was born on June 9, 1929, in Van Buren, ME. He was the fourth of ten children born to Melvina (Michaud) and Henry Gagnon.
Gerald worked 45 years as a master mechanic for Perini Corporation in Framingham, MA, and was a proud member of Local 4 Union. He was an active member of the Freemasons’ Montgomery Lodge A.F & A.M. located in Milford, MA. A true outdoorsman, Gerald loved spending time in the fresh air and was an accomplished hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed bowling and had a fondness for old western movies. Gerald was patient, proud, and a true jack-of-all-trades. His creativity and skill meant he could fix or build anything that was needed.
Above all, he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gerald was predeceased by his beloved wife of 76 years, Joan (L’italien) Gagnon, and by his siblings Leona, Marie, Anthelm, Percy, LeoJames, Joan, Edgar, and Gilbert.
He is survived by one brother, Henry Gagnon, and his wife, Dannielle, of Dixon CA; his daughter, Maxine Jenkins of Bellingham, MA., and his son, Donald Gagnon and his wife, Phyllis, of VanBuren, ME. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: James Busker and his wife Carol of Bellingham, MA; Michael Busker of Blackstone, MA; Joanne Busker of Bellingham, MA; Kathryn (Gagnon) Ladd and her husband Russell of Milo, ME; and Steven Gagnon and his wife Kristen of Framingham, MA. Gerald leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren—James, Jessica, Shawn, Hannah, Tyler, Wyatt, Ashley, Trevor, Spencer, Alexander, and Hailey—and one great-great-granddaughter, Veda.
There are no calling hours. Gerald’s final resting place will be in Van Buren, ME. alongside his wife Joan in the late springtime. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerald to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
