Holliston DTC Hosts Climate Change Presentation

Holliston Democratic Town Committee members invite the Holliston public to attend a free virtual presentation about climate change in observance of Earth Day 2021.

The committee is hosting Wellesley College professor and author Jay Turner presenting Climate Change and Prospects for a Clean Energy Transition.  The Zoom event will be Monday evening, April 12, at 7 p.m.

Dr. Turner has taught in the Environmental Studies Program at Wellesley since the fall of 2006. His training is in environmental history and environmental studies. He holds a B.S. From Washington and Lee University (1995); an A.M. in American Civilization from Brown University (1996); a Ph.D. In History (History of Science) from Princeton (2004) and a certificate in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton (2005).

Professor Turner’s scholarly duties at Wellesley include research on recent history of U.S. environmental politics and policy, including public lands, climate change and science and technology. Turner is also an accomplished author. He has recently published a co-authored book entitled The Republican Reversal: Conservatives and the Environment from Nixon to Trump.
