The Holliston Garden Club is celebrating their 90th Anniversary this year and we kicked off the celebration with a garden tour on Saturday, June 3rd. Eight beautiful gardens were showcased, and we sold over 100 tickets! Despite the misty day we had a fabulous attendance. Visitors were enthralled with the unique and creative talents of the garden owners.
On July 9th we followed up with a backyard garden tea party at the home of Valerie Howes. Members made floral centerpieces in teacups for the tables and enjoyed a variety of savory and sweet refreshments made by the members. Members wore garden hats while enjoying cups of hot or iced teas to commemorate the first meeting of the Holliston Garden Club in 1933.
Our next major event, “The Open Meeting” is back after a three-year hiatus. The meeting will be held on Friday, November 3 starting at 6:30 pm at St Mary’s Auditorium in downtown Holliston. Our meeting theme will be “A Century of Flowers” presented by Stacey Alleva Lee, owner of Peonia Designs. We will be serving home baked savory and sweet refreshments to be enjoyed by all attendees. Our raffle table will feature donated items from our local businesses. More details can be found on our website as get closer to the event.
The Garden Club is looking forward to sharing information about what we do with the public on our website hollistongardenclub.org
