UMass Transportation Center Provides Guidance on Complete Streets Funding Program & Projects HOLLISTON, Mass. June 3, 2024 – The Town of Holliston will host a training by the UMass Transportation Center on the Complete Streets grant initiative for stakeholders. The workshop will provide an in-depth technical review of various Complete Street Projects, which focus on transportation design to create livable and healthy communities.
The session will present design guidance for people walking, biking and taking transit, and the requirements for the Complete Streets Funding Program. Attendees will also learn methods to balance roadway users and apply flexibility, and best practices for public engagement.
This day-long session will be held at Holliston’s Upper Town Hall on June 11, 2024 from 8:45am to 4pm, and it will include a site tour outdoors. Baystate Roads will provide hard hats and safety vests. This no-cost workshop is at capacity, but there is a waitlist, CLICK HERE for information. The event will be attended by a wide range of professionals, both from Holliston and surrounding towns. It is intended for engineers, designers, and planners who are interested in developing complete streets, and municipal stakeholders who are also receiving Complete Streets funding.
