Sara Bateman and Jill Murray, Veterans Service Officers, who work in Holliston at the Vets’ Office at 1750 Washington Street, described their work as “411 for vets.” A counselor is available at their office by appointment on Wednesdys and Fridays.
Mr. Fagan introduced the group to Clear Path New England, a veterans’ support organization. A complete listing of their services can be found on their website www.clearpathne.org.
Toys for Tots was his next topic. He has worked with HPD for the past 13 years collecting gifts for this annual Marine Corps effort. Collection is going on now through December 13, 2019 in the HPD lobby.
Last, he spoke about the Young Marines program. The program is organized by the Marine Corps League and teaches youngsters 8 – 18 about America and military service, including discipline and close order drill.
Chief Stone and SGT Glenn Dalrymple closed the session by once again thanking everyone for their service and planting the seed for more of these gatherings in the future.
