Holliston’s fire dispatch received three calls for medical assistance Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm Medway’s ambulance responded to South Street where a patient was transported to Milford Regional Hospital.
Meanwhile, Ashland fire responded to Underwood Street and a patient was taken to MetroWest Framingham. Holliston’s ambulance was at 734 Adams Street and the town forest where a male party had fallen and broken his arm. The man was believed to be at least a half mile into the woods. Rescuers were hampered by the many trailheads leading into the forest and looming darkness. The patient was finally extricated after an hour and a half search and transported to UMass Medical in Worcester.

Holliston has two ambulances as well as a third backup ambulance?
Why was only one ambulance out on call and we were dependent upon Medway and Ashland? Were these calls requiring paramedics?
