Holliston Historical Society is delighted to invite the public to stop by the Society’s barn at 547 Washington Street on Sunday, June 23, from 1 to 4 for a Strawberry Festival in support of Celebrate Holliston’s year-long events for the Town’s 300th Anniversary Celebration.
In addition to whipped-cream-topped strawberry shortcakes with home-made biscuits (gluten-free available), also available for purchase will be ice cream, hot fudge, lemonade, and iced tea. Enjoy eating this delectable treat while listening to the upbeat musical stylings of bluegrass and folk songs played by the acoustic string band Always in Season. Lawn games for the young and young-at-heart will add enjoyment to this festive, family-oriented event.
Holliston Historical Society’s new, hand-crafted serving trays featuring an 1875 map of Holliston will be available for purchase. We expect that Celebrate Holliston’s 300th Anniversary book will be hot-off-the-press just in time for the Strawberry Festival. The book’s title says it all: “Celebrating Holliston’s 300th Anniversary – Stitching Together Memories, Images, and History.” After Chapter One, the book focuses on 1950 to today. It will remind the long-timers and inform newer folks about just what has made Holliston so special.

Will you be taking credit cards for the book and trays?
Yes, payment by credit card will be available for the trays, and I believe Venmo will be accepted for the book. (Check with Mary Greendale to confirm). Will be two separate transactions, since the trays are being sold by the Historical Society and the books by Celebrate Holliston. Those two tables will be right next to one another.
