New Veterans’ Monument Planned for Blair Square

Holliston Reporter

The Holliston Veterans are raising funds to install a monument honoring Iraq and Afghanistan vets.  The Monument (see below) will be a serene place just off the Upper Charles Rail Trail near the intersection of Front and Vine Streets.

The effort is being coordinated by local veterans, including Steve and Keith S. Napolitano, with the support of the local American Legion and VFW.  No public funds will be used to create this contemplative space.

Checks can be made to: American Legion Post 47 Gulf II Fund, c/o Stephen J. Napolitano, Manager; 67 Pleasant St., Holliston, MA 01746.

State Representative Carolyn Dykema fully supports the Holliston Veterans effort, “I hope you will consider a donation in support of a new monument honoring Holliston military veterans who have served with distinction in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. I’m proud to lend my support to this important effort, to help demonstrate the town’s gratitude and respect for those who have served.”
