Holliston Receives Drug Free Communities Grant of $625,000

The Holliston Drug and Alcohol Awareness coalition (HDAAC) led by co-chairs Eva Stahl and Karen Jewett and overseen by Jackie Winer of Holliston Youth and Family Services was awarded a $625,000 grant from the Drug Free Community (DFC) program. Holliston is one of only nine communities awarded the grant in Massachusetts in 2022

Helpers Needed to Bedeck Downtown with Colorful Mums
It’s been a hot dry summer and now that fall is upon us, the Downtown Marigold Project is looking to put some color back along the main roads in town. Anyone with a pickup truck is needed to transport potted mums from 260 Highland Street (Mayor’s Plantation) to downtown locations.
Holliston Schools Participate in National School Lunch Program

Holliston Public Schools will be participating in the National School Lunch Program. As part of this program, Holliston Public Schools will offer healthy meals every school day. The Massachusetts legislature has provided funding to make meals available at no cost to all students during school year 2022-2023, regardless of household income. However, families should still complete a Meal Benefit Application as this provides data for key funding for academic resources and may also connect families to additional benefits. This data will also support the additional funds provided by the Commonwealth for this pilot.

Town Clerk Liz Greendale has shared these unofficial results for the Town of Holliston. The district and state-wide results will be released separately.
The Town Clerk will certify the results as official at a later date.
