The COVID-19 Pandemic still has its tentacles in planning and events, especially concerning those involving larger groups. Last year the local Lions Club cancelled its annual carnival due to Governor Baker’s stay-at-home orders. The local American Legion Post 47, equally affected, cancelled its Laser Light Show at Goodwill Park in July to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Chair David Thorn called the June 3, 2021, meeting of the Holliston Planning Board to order at a little past 7:00pm. He welcomed newly elected member Barbara Peattie to the Board.

School Committee (SC) Chair Stacey Raffi called Thursday evening’s open meeting of the SC to order at 8:13 PM, following Executive Session for the purpose of collective bargaining strategy with the Holliston Federation of Teachers (HFT).

The Wednesday evening (6.2.21) meeting of the Library Trustees was called to order by Chair Nancy Baron, following the reading of the statement for remote participation. All Trustees were present.

As summer approaches, Holliston Newcomers and Neighbors membership year comes to a close. But even with all the uncertainty swirling around us, HNN was still able to fulfill our civic, social, and community mission.

After electing Tina Hein Select Board Chair for the coming year, the Board completed a wide-ranging agenda.
